What to expect: Located at the north end of the Outer Banks, The Sanderling Resort and Spa is tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound. The resort comprises three two-story buildings with a decor complemented by original wildlife art and sculpture. Resort decor, both in public areas and guestrooms, reflects its shoreline environment. The Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary is adjacent to the resort.
